- Plywood is a composite material of wood which is composed of three or more layers of veneer glued together perpendicularly.
- The advantage of plywood, in comparison with wood, is better stability in shape and dimensions.
- Plywood can be used and modified with the same tools and machines as solid wood.
- USAGE: Thanks to its excellent quality (high strength, resilience, flexibility at low bulk density), plywood is an important material for furniture-making, joinery, production of packages (palettes, crates, cases), for non-load bearing constructions, for production of formwork – for concreting, in car industry – for walking surfaces etc.

SVEZA brochures:
- This is a constructional plate consisting of micro-veneer with wooden chips facing in all directions in three layers. Designed for bearing purposes.
- The main advantage of these plates is considered to be the fact that it combines a high level of durability with good drilling and cutting characteristics while maintaining structural integrity.
- The hard, smooth, hooded surface of the plate makes the cleaning process much easier.
- Due to the adhesive based on melamine the plate retains it’s dimensions in humid conditions (minor swelling and liner expansion).
- For 3 years Orlimex CZ, s.r.o. has been the proud official reseller of the Belgian producer SPANO on the markets of Czech Republic and Slovakia.
- APPLICATION: construction (interior walls padding, roof, floor), as bearing structure of wooden houses, sheathing, shipping container production, furniture manufacturing.
Main types and formats:
Plate with straight edges:
length x width = 2500 x 1250 mm, thickness = 10-25 mm
Plate with groove-ridge ends:
length x width = 2486 x 810 mm, thickness = 12-25 mm
- Flat wooden chips (20 – 75 mm of length) are stacked together into three layers
- In the two equally thick outer layers there are only chips oriented parallel to the longer sides of the plate
- In the inner layer, which forms 50% of the plates’ volume, the chips are mainly oriented parallel to shorter sides of the plate
- phenol-formaldehyde resin is used to form these OSB plates and its’ percentage in the overall weight of the plate reaches 2.5%
- the ends of the plate can be fitted with a groove-ridge to simplify connection; the surface of the plate can be sanded on the final steps of production
- tree species used – pine
- USAGE: OSB 3 is designed to be used in a humid environment, for the production of pallets, tar, crates, building of wooden houses, for beams and load-bearing structures, roof construction, flooring, wall panel production, etc.
Main sizes and types:
OSB 3
not-sanded plate with straight ends:

OSB 3
not-sanded plate with groove-ridge ends:
length x width = 2500 x 675 mm, thickness = 12–25 mm
